Manilva: The locality will have recourse to the coast improvement plan designed by the Junta (Andalusian Committee)

The Manilva city council will have recourse to the help notification of the Andalusian Committee assigned to finance the equipment purchase and the municipal coast improvement. In few days, representatives of the “Delegación de Playas” (Beaches Delegation) will meet in order to shape the municipal applications.

One has to remind that the Tourism, Trade and Sport Councils will assign 11, 2 million of Euros in 2006 in order to subsidize the beach equipment bought to the part of the local entities, which is supposed to be an increase of 42 per cent with regard to 2005.

The 2006 help notifications, published in the Andalusian Committee gazette (Boletín Oficial de la Junta de Andalucía –BOJA-), have planned to subsidize the beaches integral plans of the coastal city councils so as to convert those spaces into accessible places and to guarantee its use and its enjoyment during the whole year for the part of the citizens, tourists and disabled persons. Moreover, the aim is to convert the beaches into recreational activities and leisure time centres and to strengthen the catering establishments connected.

To be precise, the equipments and projects included to order to subvention contemplate sport and leisure time activities areas, green areas, recreational areas for children, access elements for disabled people, showers, fountains, changing rooms and toilets, litter bin, footbridges and tourist information local offices.
